My Story

I am running the London Marathon on October 2nd and I am proud to be raising money for Dyscover, who provide vital support and therapy for people with aphasia.

I've seen first-hand the amazing work that this small organisation does.  Aphasia, a condition many people are unaware of, is a communication disability that affects speech, reading, writing, and the ability to understand what is being said.  It can be caused by a stroke, brain injury or rare form of dementia.

Dyscover does not receive any statutory funding and because they rely on fundraising to deliver services for their members, I'm hoping to raise some much needed cash.

I've been running for many years and typically cover 10-15K a week.  I did complete the New York marathon in 1999, but that's a lot of years and a lot of miles ago, so hopefully the old legs won't let me down...!

Please do support me and help me to cross that finishing line knowing that I have made a real difference to this great charity.  Any donations will be very much appreciated - thank you!
