About us

The John Muir Trust is a UK conservation charity dedicated to the experience, protection and repair of wild places. We support natural climate solutions by expanding native woodlands and restoring peatlands. We are guardians of some of the finest wild places in the UK including Ben Nevis, Schiehallion and part of the Cuillin Ridge on Skye. Each year we inspire over 40,000 people to enjoy and care for local wild places through the John Muir Award.
