My Story

My daughter Zoe was born three months early in December 2021 with the extra special chromosome, so it was certainly a challenge for the first few months of her being with us. However, she has grown to be a healthy little girl and I look forward to seeing what sort of person she will end up growing to be. I thought that the London Marathon was the perfect opportunity to raise money for the Down syndrome Association because their work is invaluable for people with DS. The future looks really bright for Zoe, with down syndrome groups featured on mainstream talent shows and even TV presenters with down syndrome now existing, the attitudes to DS is slowly changing towards the positive. Your donation today will help the Down syndrome Association create this bright new world for people with DS and their families supporting them.

When they gave me the place in the London Marathon, I asked the Down Syndrome Association what their record was for fundraising. They said £27,000, so I've taken up the challenge to beat that.
