I'm running a marathon for Endometriosis UK
Susanne Barton
My Story
You may know that I was diagnosed with stage 2 endometriosis on my bladder, bowel and womb in 2021. What you may not know is that the current average wait for an endometriosis diagnosis is around 8 years.
Endometriosis is a condition that affects 1 in 10 people with wombs. Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, such as (but not limited to) the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Endometriosis can affect womb owners of any age. It's a long-term condition that can have a significant impact on your life. There is currently no cure for endometriosis.
I hope that by raising money for Endometriosis UK we can raise awareness, educate people and maybe even get a little closer to finding a cure!
