My Story

My Dad, Ian Phillips, passed away from a brain tumour in March 2022. The hospice was able to provide support at home throughout the last weeks he was still with us. They were able to sit with him, check his meds, talk with him and keep an eye on him. This allowed my Mum and the rest of us to have a break and some time to deal with the loss we would ultimately face together.

This time was invaluable and something I will remember for the rest of my life. It also allowed my sister and me to fulfil a promise my Dad asked me to keep when he knew he wasn't going to get better - to look after our Mum, that's what was most important to him.

I never knew how important that help and care would be but I am forever grateful and I want to be able to try and help the hospice in this way as a small thank you for the help they gave me and my whole family.

It's a big target but I promise you the work and support the hospice offers is worth every penny and you get the bonus of putting me through my paces as well!!

Please give if you can and thank you for reading my story and for your donation.
