Wilson's Run the Marathon!
James & Steve Wilson
My Story
As you may know we are running the marathon in memory of our late grandma Jackie and to raise money for St Catherine's Hospice who helped care for her.
Jackie was the most caring, thoughtful and beautiful person you could ever be lucky enough to meet, with an amazing smile and a wonderful infectious laugh. She was a member of our local church and was part of so many local organisations - always willing to help whenever she could. Even the pandemic could not dent her spirits, going on walks, socially distanced coffees with friends and spending time with her loved ones.
In the Summer, with her health deteriorating, she had to be put into the care of St Catherine's Hospice and it is here we saw first-hand the truly amazing work of this charity and their staff. It is hard to put into to words how much their support and care meant to our family. Their constant friendliness, respect and understanding was a light during a very difficult time.
Seeing our grandma smile even in her final days and knowing how much it meant to our mum to see her at peace, was a reminder of the fantastic work this organisation continues to offer to others going through a similar time and hopefully we can help in a small way.
Please give generously to this amazing cause.
Thank you,
James & Steve
