My Story

I thought I would never run the London marathon (or even any marathon) due to my dodgy hip (I definitely need some DW40!), but sometimes unfortunate events push you to challenge your limits.

Mum lost her fight against lung cancer this March. The past two months have been a difficult period for me and I was looking for a challenge to accomplish something in her memory and help raise money for a charity which plays an important role in the lives of people who are affected by lung cancer.

October 4th would have been her 73rd birthday and running the marathon on a date so close to her birthday as well as raising money for a charity such as Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the perfect present for her.
