Born of WW1 and the terrible toll taken on the families of Merchant Sailors, the King George V Fund for Sailors is now called the Seafarers Charity, the aims fo the charity are to create ‘a world where seafarers and their families are valued and free of need and disadvantage’, and have both welfare and fiscal projects.
I have decided to run the Marathon to support this worthy cause!
