London Marathon 2022

My Story

This year, I have decided to run the London Marathon 2022 to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

The disease is the 5th biggest Cancer killer and has the lowest survival rate of all the 20 common cancers.

My Dad lost his Dad to Pancreatic Cancer, something that no one is ever quite prepared for. He was such a funny man, so happy and always full of life (as well as daffodils - which he used to eat to entertain us when we were kids 🌼)

I'm running this year, for Grandad and for myself, always pushing and knowing that I can for ever improve and do better. Last years race was just to cross the finish line, this year it's to smash last years time out of the water. Running a Michelin Starred Kitchen alongside training for a Marathon I know will be tough, but luckily I am surrounded by super star Chefs, Family members, Friends and a team that I know will support me through to the end.

Any donation, big or small can help fight this deadly disease, providing funding for research that could help make early diagnosis a reality, help fund the Support Line for which many fighters, friends and family turn to when in need or could simply help provide an information pack for someone recently diagnosed with the disease. It's also even more motivation for me to get over that finish line and do this incredible charity proud. 💜

This year is for you Grandad, Let's smash it! 🏃‍♀️💛
