My Story

Some of you will know me as a bit of a runner, but those of you who know me well enough will know that running a marathon has never really floated my boat. In fact, i've never even run a half to date with The Great South Run (10miles) my current furthest. I guess I just love the convenience of running middle distance due to the relatively short timeframe it involves for either training or racing and therefore how easy it can be to squeeze into my busy days.

So what has changed, maybe i've matured a little? The idea of pledging so much time to train for a marathon still does not appeal, and i have a mission on my hands to get fit after shin splints has delayed my training by 6 weeks, but i recognise that i can make a difference here for vunerable people and so i'm going to give it my all in the weeks i have left.

How do i find myself running for PACT, well my good friend Phil got in touch and told me a little bit about what they do, and it didn't take long before I was sold.

PACT is an adoption and family support charity founded in 1911. Each year, PACT works with hundreds of adoptive families, women seeking support and children who have experienced trauma to help them look towards a brighter future. I believe in what PACT are doing and the impact that they can have on so many people's lives....so please help me and donate what you can to help me achieve my target.
