My Story
For the last 4 years, my wife has been severely affected by a relapse of ME, seeing how it has destroyed her self-confidence, ability, and joy has been heart-breaking.
She is finally in a place where she can do more, but that basically means one small task every few days. It has taken so much of her away and as her husband, I feel powerless to help.
Running for Action for M.E. and raising money for it is something I can do for her and the M.E. community. Action for M.E. provides information, support, and services for those with M.E.as well as connecting sufferers together (it can be a very lonely and misunderstood condition). Action for M.E. also works with policy-makers to provide services for those with M.E. and work on scientific studies to attempt to understand more about this condition.
