My Story

After 10 years of rest and recovery, I have decided to lace up my running shoes again and tackle the 2022 London Marathon in aid of Parents and Children Together (PACT).

PACT have been an incredibly important part of mine and my husband David's lives since we began the long journey towards becoming adoptive parents.  In May, we were finally approved as adopters and are now looking forward to finding our forever family.

The adoption process in the UK is a complex one that takes time and effort on everyone's part.  We could not have been better supported through the highs and lows of the process by PACT.  From the insightful training resources and courses we have been provided, through to our amazing social worker who has skillfully guided us through this journey, we simply could not have done it without them.

So, it is time to pay it back, and I could not be happier to put myself through the London Marathon for a second time to raise much needed funds for PACT.  The funds the Marathon team raise this year will be used to support future potential adopters and continue supporting people like David and I, who are just starting out on our adoption adventure.  Please consider supporting me, and PACT, with a donation.
