My Story

I've been raising funds for CRISIS for the last 12 years and am thrilled to be offered a place as part of their London Martathon team. Whether its in London, Oxford, Newcastle or elsewhere, CRISIS do amazing work to get people into homes and their lives on track.  We are all just a step or two away from homelessness, and when we loose the place we call home everything else can come crashing down very very quickly.  With the cost of living crisis and a failure to build genuinely affordable homes things have become tougher and tougher in the last ten years.  But, together, we can end homelessness and CRISIS is a driving force in that ambition.

About 5 years ago I was at a New Years Eve party when my friend Alan told me in the nicest possible way that i was obese.  If I get to £2,000 i promise to post the photos that prove he was right. I've worked on that and have dropped from 94kg to 82kg and in 2021 I completed 3 half marathons.  In just one month it will be time for THE BIG ONE.

I am completing the race with my Nephew Alfie - he is 30 years younger than me and with his support we both aim to beat the 4 hour target - but to be honest getting round will be an achievement in itself.

Thank you so much for your support.  As has become custom and practice - for every £1 donated by you PMc Ltd will match it £ for £ so your money really will make a difference!
