My Story

It has been four long years of trying to get a secured runner's place for the Royal Variety Charity in the London Marathon - and as some of you will recall, all was set for me to run it for the Charity back in 2020... but then Covid-19 hit us and rightfully so, the Charity decided to push its placement back to when the Marathon would return properly, to the streets of London town. I'm genuinely honoured to be given this chance and will give it my all in running for the Royal Variety Charity in the 2022 London Marathon.

I'm lucky enough to witness first hand, from much the epicentre of the Charity, the huge amount of good work that is achieved by the staff, voluntary Executive Committee and elected Trustees of the Royal Variety Charity for our beneficiaries and residents. Under the brilliant leadership of Giles Cooper, the Charity's Chairman, a major refurbishment is now well underway at the Charity's carehome, Brinsworth House. Any money raised through my running, I would love to go toward helping, in whatever small a way, this ongoing regeneration of such an historic British institution. Even if it only helps pay for a single hospital bed, I know that it will help make a difference to the lives of our residents, all of whom have served the entertainment industry professionally, for the majority of their working lives.

If you would be willing to give the equivalent amount to buying me a drink in a London pub, I would be most grateful and I can assure you, first hand, that your hard earned cash will be going to the most wonderful of places; a home from home for old pro's - the majority of whom have spent their lives helping to entertain you.
