My Story

47 years old, Husband, Father to 3 kids and a grand dad.....

This year I get to run the London marathon, one of my life "ticks" and one I thought I would never be able to do.

I tried last year, trained hard, really hard, sacrficing a lot of things and time. Sadly covid destroyed me for months.

Fast forward to January 2022 and started again. I found a great guy to help me with a structured running plan and well on my way. (you can see my progress weekly below)

So, Im running this for Charity, specifically for the Wessex Cancer Trust (Isle of wight). This is a brilliant charity that helps thousands of local people each year, including a much needed service of the daisy bus.

The daisy bus helps with transporting patients and relatives to the ferry terminals both sides of the solent, as the majority of cancer care cannot be given here on the Isle of wight, adding extra stress and costs to patients.

Recieving no government funding, the chairty relies solely on donors and fund raising.

With the cost of living crisis happening, now more than ever, charities need our support. Its a sad fact that, 1 in 2 of us will be effected by cancer. We all know a friend or a loved one that either is, or has been.

My target is £2500. Im launching this with 100 days to go , so i just need to find £25 per day.
