My Story
"The presence of even a single poor child on the street means a million defeats for mankind" - M.M. Ildan
Running the London Marathon will be the greatest physical challenge in my 36 years of life. As a street worker, I spend most of my time listening to stories and co-creating interventions with children and youths in street situations, in Nairobi, Kenya to improve their lives and give them a chance at a better future.
Taking part in the marathon will provide a huge global advocacy platform to highlight the stories of the many children and youth in street situations that I work with on a daily basis. The end goal is to raise funds for charities like Toybox UK, to continue supporting more children and youth in street situations. The ripple effect will be to give the children avenues to raise their voices across the world by empowering them, educating them, and giving them a chance at life that they would not have otherwise encountered.
Join me on the journey to raising the next generation of children who are currently voiceless, my goal is to ensure that no child is left behind, and your donation will take us a step further in the right direction.
