Niamh Elizabeth Mourton running the London Marathon for Special Olympics
Niamh Elizabeth Mourton
My Story
I don't like running! :)
But I am putting myself out of my comfort zone and training to run the London marathon on October 2nd for our athletes. I want to raise some much-needed funds to ensure that we can continue to grow and allow more people with learning disabilities to access meaningful sports opportunities.
I'm so passionate about helping our athletes with intellectual/learning disabilities to thrive in life through sport. Special Olympics is a life-changing organisation that I'm very proud to be involved and so honoured to be chosen to run for them.
I am running alongside my great friend Jools Roome who is running for Macmillan in honour of her wonderful dad- we have been running together every week and it has been hard doing those really long runs, especially recovering after them. But we both continue to plod on getting those miles in our feet and heads.
Please donate what you can - it will be very much appreciated and put to great use.
