Abaigh running for Baby Lifeline

My Story
On the 2nd October 2022 I'll be running the London Marathon for Baby Lifeline. This will be my first marathon, and though I'm a sporty spice, I'm really not a long-distance runner! Any and all donations, shares and support for this worthy cause are deeply appreciated.
Baby Lifeline is a small charity and not-for-profit social enterprise promoting the safe care of pregnant women, birthing people and newborn babies all over the UK and worldwide:
- Sadly, every day in the UK, twelve babies are stillborn or die within the first 4 weeks. As many as three quarters of these are potentially preventable
- Worldwide, 800 women die every day as a result of (mostly avoidable) complications during/following pregnancy and childbirth.
Baby Lifeline works to make maternity safer nationally and internationally. In the past year, this has included:
- Fundraising: we sent more than £300,000 worth of maternity and trauma equipment to Ukraine, including fifty-two of our Community Midwives' Bags
- Research: we survey maternity training in the UK, and campaign for increased funding to address gaps and tackle inequalities in healthcare
- Training: we develop and provide interactive training courses for thousands of maternity healthcare professionals across the UK and worldwide.
I am proud to be supporting the impactful work done by our small team.
Though I work for Baby Lifeline, this is a charity close to my heart as we have family experience of baby loss.
Thank you for visiting my page. Please help me to get across the finish line in October!
