My Story

You are most probably aware that I run quite a bit!   Now I feel the time is right to challenge myself to my ultimate goal. To run the London Marathon in October 2022 is something I would never in my wildest dreams think possible a few years ago.

I have chosen 'CONTACT - for families with disabled children' as I have used their services which have been a lifeline for support and advice.

My youngest son Harry, has a very rare syndrome called PACS1, Autism and associated learning disabilities.  He is a joy to our world and anyone that knows him can see he is an amazing, happy and resilient kid.  He does however, need specialist schooling and most probably lifelong care and the support CONTACT has given us has been invaluable.

So, now It is my chance to give something back to this amazing charity, and help as many families with disabled children as possible.

I know times are hard so am asking people to dig deep for me. This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to raise funds and I will be eternally grateful for any donations.

NOW FOR THE HARD WORK....training for this will be a test of endurance (people tell me the actual marathon is the fun part, but I'm not convinced!!!)

Bring it on!  I know I can and will do this for CONTACT A FAMILY!

THANK YOU
