My Story

I have Parkinson's.  I was diagnosed in 2018 and decided that nothing would change and I would continue to do the crazy stuff that I'd already been doing.

I fundraise for Parkinson’s UK because I want to be one of the last to be diagnosed.

In 2019 I ran the London Marathon with #TeamPD and absolutely loved it.  It wasn't my first nor my last marathon but since then my ability to run has been and continues to be challenged, so I adapt my goals and ambitions, although in reality it just means I get better value for money when I enter events, being on the course for so much longer than the podium winners.

Fundraising has been tough though the Covid pandemic and I don't expect this to be easy, but be aware that every penny goes to Parkinson's UK and their efforts to find ways of halting the disease's progress and ultimately, to find a cure, because right now, there isn't one.
