My Story

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals work tirelessly to help protect, rescue and rehabilitate all kinds of animals. Their work never stops, even during the pandemic which was an incredibly tough time for them, as they rely so much on donations and fundraising events which were all cancelled.

The last time I ran The London Marathon was in 2009 and a lot has changed in those 13 years! I'm older and I've had a baby so I feel a lot more tired than I used to, but I've TEN WEEKS to get ready and by my side, running with me on the day, is one of my oldest and best friends Allegra.

Allegra says: ‘I am so excited about doing the marathon again with Kate… We have so many good memories from running it together - The day itself is so magical and all of London feels so alive. Our plan is to have fun, laugh and forget the pain!'

Between us we're hoping to raise over £10,000 for The RSPCA. if everyone who follows us on social media donated £1 each, we'd smash that target to pieces and think about how much your donations combined could do for animals that need our help. We realise times are tough and the cost of living has increased monumentally, but even if you donate £1, we'd be so grateful, so would the RSPCA. Every penny counts.

We can't wait to run the London Marathon together again, it's a mighty challenge but one we're both ready to take on, in the hope that we can help as many animals as possible and ensure The RSPCA can continue the brilliant work they do.

Please help us help them.

Thank you!
