My Story

Having failed to secure a spot for the London Marathon over the last 3 years, I am really excited to announce that I'll be running my first official Marathon this year!

More importantly, I am so proud to be running for Home-Start Wandsworth, a brilliant charity that works alongside vulnerable families to help them through the hardest of times and prevent them from slipping into crisis.

Home-Start Wandsworth’s staff and trained volunteers help parents cope with the stresses and strains of life and make sure they have the skills, confidence and strength they need to nurture their children to give them the best possible start in life. Now more than ever, the pressures facing families are growing. Poverty, mental illness and social isolation have all been made worse by the pandemic and the increasing cost of living. 

I have experienced firsthand, through my mother’s work with the charity, the positive impact Home-Start Wandsworth has in improving the quality of many families’ lives across the Wandsworth borough. However, for Home-Start Wandsworth to continue making such a positive difference to these families, they need donations from generous people like you!
