My Story
I run for fun and fitness: The Marathon combines both for a worthy cause like EHAAT - Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust.
Air Ambulances, and their onboard, pre-hospital medical crew provide a critical service for anyone with time sensitive injuries or health complexities.
I wasn’t aware that such a critical service is not fully government funded, but comes from various sources: a limited amount from the National Lottery, the generosity of local businesses, and the rest from Herts & Essex county public. In other words, every penny helps, no matter where you're based.
Some of you live in Essex or Hertfordshire. Many of us have/ will drive through either. EHAAT's always on standby regardless where you're from. You never know when you, a loved one or someone close will need it one day.
