My Story

THANK YOU all for sparing a minute to help support my London Marathon 2022 attempt on 2nd October 2022 and in also raising vital funds for the Adoption Charity, PACT.

As many of you will know, we were fortunate and blessed to have become adoptive parents 20 months ago (child/children’s identities not disclosed online for security reasons) using the services of this UK adoption charity, Parents And Children Together (PACT) .

PACT have been providing support to, building and strengthening families since 1911.

PACT is dedicated to the placement of children with secure and loving families and provides lifelong adoption support. We have both been genuinely amazed by the fantastic level of training provided during the matching process, pre-placement and their continued support, guidance and advance since.

PACT also empowers women who face multiple disadvantages to make positive changes to their lives through its Alana House Community Project and it supports children to heal from the trauma of domestic abuse through its Bounce Back 4 Kids programme.

PACT needs your support to continue its vital work with adoptive families, women seeking support and children healing from trauma.

Whilst I have been a seasoned marathon runner for a number of years (17 completed at a quick guess), the training for each one is becoming harder due to the old age aches and pains coupled with the reduced time for actual training. This will be the toughest one yet……..!

Your generosity in donations, no matter how small today, will help focus the mind further to ensure I reach the finish line on The Mall in just over 3 month’s time as well as raising vital funds for PACT.
