My Story

When my Granded died during Covid, he was suffering from Alzheimer's. Visiting him regularly in the care home that he had to live in, I saw first-hand the terrible impact the disease can have. At his core he was always the man that I knew and loved but you could see his personality fade away.

My Dad is a lifelong migraine sufferer, he has been having regular episodes since the age of 18. The attacks can be seriously debilitating and I would not wish them on anyone.

I'm running for Brain Research UK for two reasons. Firstly, to raise money for research that will help us combat the two diseases, reducing the pain people have to go through. Secondly, as a thank you to my Dad and Grandad for all they have done for me and my family. I see this as a chance to give back to them.

I would be extremely grateful if you would be generous enough to support me and Brain Research UK. I want to make a difference and you can help me do that.
