My Story

Last year I did the Virtual London Marathon, so I didn't have to suffer the indiginity of being overtaken by someone dressed as Mr Blobby. This year I am going to swallow my pride and do the 'proper one'. If I see him, I'm gonna smile and let that pink blancmange wobble by me as I waddle along at a glacial pace. 

I am running for Mind this year. They really are an incredible charity, but you probably knew that already. Everyone's mental health has been through the wringer these past few years for obvious reasons (coming second in Eurovision was such a blow amirite?). On top of that, the cost of living crisis is impacting so many, and it's now more necessary than ever to take care of the growing number of people who cannot afford to access the mental health support that they need. 

I need to raise £2000 this year. That's a lot, isn't it? Okay. I just had a thought as I am writing this. If I raise over £2000, I will run the marathon dressed as Mr Blobby. Okay? Okay.
