My Story

I've never been into fitness and never tried very hard to keep myself in shape, but lockdown changed that and I started to make an effort to shed the pounds and get myself in shape.

I decided to run the London Marathon for Racing Welfare as my first ever big sponsored event. Not an easy challenge but I am confident with the support of everyone I can make it round and hopefully still have a big smile on my face at the end of the course.

I have had the privelidge of working for Racing Welfare for over 6 years now, delivering the frontline services they provide to the racing industry. It blows my mind everytime I think about the help and support that it is available to everyone who works in the horseracing industry. If I can add just a little money to the pot that allows them to carry on their amazing work. I will not only have achieved my goal to support them but I will have achieved a personal target to complete a marathon before I am 40 years old.

Every single donation small or large will help me through the 26.2 miles on the day.

My taret figure of £2000 is enough money to take a bus load of retired staff on an outing to the races to help combat loneliness and isolation.

It is also enough to fund physio sessions for 3 injured racing staff.

Thank you very much for your support and your donation to this very worthy cause.

See you at the finish line.
