My Story

I am running the London Marathon to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. I know firsthand how debilitating this disease can be with my nanny suffering from MND for a number of years. Messages from the motor neurones gradually stop reaching the muscles. This leads the muscles to weaken, stiffen and waste, which can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. The association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for the people that are affected.

I applied for the marathon not thinking for one moment that i'd get a place but now I'm well into the training and determined to complete it. What will really inspire and help me with the last few weeks of training and ultimately the Marathon itself is knowing that I've rasied as much as I can for Motor Neurone Disease. A donation of any size, big or small would be very gratefully accepted...every penny makes a difference!
Thanks
Ben
