My Story

Hey everyone!

A little over 4 years ago, I sadly lost the most important person in my life, my father, to Parkinson's. The feelings and tragedy that my family and I went through are some of the worst I could ever imagine. Although I've had to come to terms with these feelings, the hole will never be filled. My father was only 53 when he received his initial diagnosis and after 5 years of down hill spiral, from losing his job, driving licence and dignity, his condition worsened and eventually, as commonly, he was told that his Parkinson's had developed into dementia. Spirits high, he soldiered on but within a 7 day period he unfortunately moved from walking 3 miles with his grandson to passing away.

The London Marathon is something that I have always wanted to and longed to do and it will fulfil one of my life long goals. At the same time I am aiming to raise as much money as possible to support Parkinson's UK with the ambition that these funds will help the charity conduct the research required to stop more families going through the same feelings that we had to endure for years on end or at least help support another family to give the care to whom ever is undergoing the same diagnosis which is frankly, a life sentance at present.

I ask my friends, family, parents or children of anyone affected and anyone else who would like to donate to a great cause to dig deep and help me raise as much as possible. These funds are key to scientific research and development for medication but also for supporting already struggling families for day to day care and mobility aid.

Please help me and in turn numerous people already suffering with this debilitating disease.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and let's work together to make this condition more mangeable!
