Henshaws

About us

At Henshaws we support people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to go beyond expectations. We believe that, wherever they are, everyone has the right to an independent and fulfilling life. Our support, advice and training enables people and their families to build skills, develop confidence, help each other and look forward to a more positive future.

£25 will support the costs of a Henshaws Patient Support Officer providing 1-to-1 support to a person newly diagnosed with sight loss, offering crucial practical and emotional assistance to come to terms with their condition and move forward positively

£50 will support the costs of sensory equipment for students at Henshaws College who have complex needs. Enabling students to communicate and engage with their environment which can be transformational to their development and well-being

£100 will go towards the costs of materials needed to run a workshop at the Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre, enabling people with disabilities to choose from a wide range of weekly workshop activities where creativity is explored whilst personal and communication skills are developed

£500 will support the costs of one visually impaired child attending Henshaws I Can Do It course gaining crucial skills in independence whilst making friends and trying new things in a supportive, fun environment
