Compass Disability Services

About us

Compass Wellbeing is part of Taunton based charity Compass Disability Services. Compass Wellbeing provides services and facilities that aims to reduce the negative impacts of social isolation, exclusion and loneliness. There are many reasons why people might feel isolated or excluded, disability being only one them. Young parents can often feel isolated when new to parenthood, older people can feel lonely when others from their family and generation pass away, disabled people and those with challenging behaviour can feel excluded from social opportunities such as a nights out or visits to a local bar or café and people on a low income often find social activities beyond their means. Whatever the reason Compass Wellbeing aims to provide activities such as a Stay and Play Toddler group, Anything but Ordinary Daytime Disco and music therapy session for adults of abilities. Facilities inclues a Hydropool, Sensory Room and Wellbeing Café, where people feel welcome, safe, included and where affordability is always a key consideration.

Compass Wellbeing receives no government funding and is reliant on the generosity of the general public to enable us to make our services accessible to all.
