About us

Support our amazing runners in the London Marathon! TeamCHECT will be taking to the streets on Sunday 2 October 2022 to raise funds to help us to continue our vital services – please help them to help us!

Retinoblastoma (Rb) is a cancer of the eye that affects babies and children, mainly under the age of six. There are around 50-60 cases a year in the UK: this means that one family every week receives the devastating news that their child has cancer.

  • Funds research into the prevention and treatment of retinoblastoma.
  • Raises awareness among health professionals and the public.
  • Influences policy to improve services for patients.

CHECT offers support to every family in the UK following a diagnosis of retinoblastoma, and provides lifelong support to anyone affected – from diagnosis, through teenage years and into adulthood.

As a small charity we receive no government funding and rely on the kindness of others, to provide our services.
