Welcome to the TCS London Marathon 2022 fundraising page supporting Against Breast Cancer,
Against Breast Cancer funds pioneering research to improve detection, treatment and increase survival after breast cancer diagnosis. The focus of our research is preventing secondary spread, the main cause of breast cancer related deaths.
The money you raise will help support our current research projects such as ABC Discover, which aims to identify biomarkers that could be used for earlier detection of secondary spread, or our long-term Therapeutic Antibody programme designing new therapies to help our immune system kill cancer cells more effectively. Your support will also help fund future research projects. Our diet and lifestyle Biobank is a collection of biological samples from over 3000 women with breast cancer, who were monitored over a 5 year period after diagnosis. Using this valuable resource, we hope to support new research projects that will increase our understanding of secondary spread breast cancer.
