My Story

In January 2021 a very kind MacMillan Nurse was brave enough to tell me to get a flight to England straight away.

She organised an exemption letter and spent time talking both my sister and I though my Mums care. In the middle of a pandemic while working unvaccinated in the NHS hospital, she is the reason I saw my Mum before she passed.

I wasn’t with my Mum at the end I had to come back to Australia and was in quarantine in Perth. I want to return to England and hopefully find some peace in running the London marathon to honour my Mums memory, and thank all the nurses that were so kind to our family.
