Alice Chapman London Marathon fundraising
Alice Chapman
My Story
SSAFA are there for service military personnel, veterans and their families when they need the most help, giving back a little of what these committed and courageous people do day in and day out to help keep our country and those living in it safe.
I work for SSAFA as a social worker supporting families who wish to adopt and further use their desire to help others to give a safe, welcoming and loving home for a child in need to grow up in.
I am proud to be running the London Marathon to raise money to help SSAFA further. Anyone who knows me well will get that the running is the part of the challenge that I feel most comfortable with (until the day when I will be bursting with nervous energy) whereas asking people to support me is totally out of my comfort zone!
I would really appreciate any donation that you feel able to give. This is my third marathon, the last one I completed was around four years ago and trust me that training post turning forty has already felt enough of a physical challenge at times!
